Moulds (also known as “fungi”) are present everywhere in the natural environment, indoors and outdoors. Exposure to mould may occur indoors on water damaged building materials during occupancy, building maintenance and/or repair operations. Some moulds have toxic properties, while other produce allergens that can affect people.

Our building science group investigates the source of water and cause of mould, including potential effects on air quality. These answers are needed to determine if insurance coverage exists, and for liability decisions for subrogation purposes.

We offer project management of any mould abatement project including identification, initial sampling, developing abatement protocols for the contractor, confirmatory sampling and project completion reporting.
