 View CV Bob is an Environmental Scientist with over 6 years of experience in the field of consulting and engineering. He holds a B.A.Sc. (Honours) in Environmental Management from Lakeland College in Vermilion, Alberta with a specialty in Reclamation and Remediation and an Honours Diploma in Environmental Science from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario. He also has an extensive background in drilling and blasting, having completed the first year of the Resources Drilling and Blasting program at Sir Sandford Fleming College.He has participated in numerous Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), hydrogeological studies, underground storage tank removal programs, and soil, sediment and groundwater remediation projects in a variety of contaminated conditions for large industrial and commercial clients and residential clients across Ontario. He has managed and completed many Phase I ESAs on commercial, industrial, residential, and vacant properties for commercial/industrial clients, property managers, and financial lenders.
He has been thoroughly trained to conduct Phase I ESAs in accordance with the Phase I ESA standard as defined by Ontario Regulation 153/04 and the CAN/CSA Z768-01 Phase I Environmental Site Assessment.

Bob’s experience additionally includes the management and completion of designated substances and hazardous material projects (i.e. Asbestos, Lead, PCBs and Mould), and other hygiene related work (i.e. indoor air quality assessments). He is a certified Water Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT). He is trained in dealing with wet basements and issues that may arise from it. Bob is an active member of the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) and the American Industrial Hygienist Association (AIHA).

He has conducted several fuel oil spill remediation projects and environmental monitoring programs for insurance clientele. In addition, Bob has worked on several large-scale environmental remediation projects for industrial, commercial, and residential clients across Ontario. Bob is very well trained and knowledgeable in health and safety requirements for projects, with over 200 hours of health and safety training between college and university courses, as well as industry training.
Bob will be a great addition to strengthen our existing environmental services expertise. This seems to be a growth area for insurance claim handlers as new legislation comes into force, regulating asbestos and other hazardous materials found in buildings.

In addition to environmental duties, Bob has been cross training into other disciplines in the firm. He recently completed his Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator training (CFEI), and is fully qualified to handle assignments in fire cause and origin investigation. Bob is an active member of the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), Canadian Association of Fire Investigators (CAFI), International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), and the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA).
