Micheka graduated as a Civil Engineer from the University of Waterloo. She specialized in structures and obtained her Structural Certificate at graduation. While attending the University of Waterloo, she worked with Caskanette Udall Consulting Engineers for three of her six work terms where she was trained in forensic engineering. She completed her last work term with the fire research group at the University of Waterloo to expand on her fire knowledge base.Micheka has received further education in the areas of Building Science, Fire Safety Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Project Management.After graduation, Micheka moved to Alberta and worked for the City of Calgary. She started off in the environmental Assessment and Liability group where she worked on several environmental remediation and risk management projects, determined environmental liability, and worked on mould and asbestos policies and procedures. She then moved into the transportation department and worked in various areas involving the design and construction of roads and bridges.Micheka has recently moved back to Ontario and joined Caskanette Udall. She is an active member of the PEO, OSPE, NAFI, CAFI, NFPA, ITE, IAAI, and CSFS. |
