Justin Breg consults in the fields of structural design and analysis, forensics, and building science. He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo. His research background covers a broad range of topics, including micromechanics of concrete, renovation of historic structures, and building in extreme climates. He has designed buildings in Europe and Africa, as well as North America. His consulting experience includes the design of schools, indoor pools, arenas, high rise buildings, adaptive re-use projects, monasteries, and agricultural buildings. He has provided expertise in mining and transportation infrastructure projects, and in the development of novel building products. Justin also teaches at the University of Waterloo, and at Willowbank School for Restoration Arts in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Course subjects include Advanced Structures, Building Science, and Building Construction.
