Michael is a Senior Project Manager working in the Environmental Division of Caskanette with over 20 years of experience. Michael has a B.Sc. degree in Biology from Wilfrid Laurier University with a minor in Chemistry and has experience directly related to emergency response and environmental remediation.
Michael’s knowledge includes work on over 1000 projects involving different aspects of the environmental business including non-hazardous and dangerous goods spill response, Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, confined space entry assessment and rescue, cost management for Large Industrial/Residential Fuel Spills and Large Roadway Environmental Spills including Remedial Excavation and Risk Based Assessments. Michael’s work has involved working with various regulations or guidelines including Ontario Regulation 153/04 made under the Environmental Protection Act, the Occupation Health and Safety Act, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act. Michael deals with our illicit drug operations including assessments and remediations of vehicle and residential impacted sites involving illicit drugs such as fentanyl, carfentanil and many others. Michael has also been certified under the Ontario Land Tribunal as an Expert in Emergency Response providing expert testimony. Peer reviews is a specialty Michael has developed over years of experience. Completing both methodology and costing reviews of vendors, Michael has reduced millions of dollars of overcharges for clients.
Michael is also a volunteer firefighter is his local community and enjoys the outdoors.
