Steve graduated in 1996 from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering. He has over 25 years of design experience, specializing in agricultural and residential design.

After graduating, Steve diversified his technical knowledge by working in the energy-efficient building and CFD-modelling software industries, before taking a position as General Manager and stamping engineer with a local agricultural engineering firm.

Over the next 20+ years, Steve was the engineer of record for thousands of agricultural projects across Ontario, as well as projects in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the Yukon. Designs included residential, commercial, dairy, swine, poultry, equine, and storage facilities. Under his leadership, and as majority owner, the company grew to be the largest agricultural engineering firm in Ontario.

In 2021, Steve switched gears and took a position as Senior Construction Manager for a company specializing in battery energy storage systems (BESS). His role expanded to include project management and on-site supervision before joining the engineering division as Senior Structural Engineer. Steve provided leadership in developing and reviewing site plans, geotechnical reports and foundation designs as well as providing expertise in resolving on-site construction issues.

Steve has been licensed with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) since 1999 and is based out of the Kitchener office.
