Farhad HabibiPhD, EIT
Farhad is currently an E.I.T and has a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto. He received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering in 2012 from McMaster University. His primary focus is on reinforced concrete, steel, and timber structures. Farhad’s interests also include seismic and dynamic analysis, finite element analysis, failure analysis, non-destructive testing methods, monitoring and evaluating life expectancy for various types of structures, and assessment of construction materials. Prior to Caskanette Udall Consulting Engineers, Farhad worked for the University of Toronto as a research assistant and instructor for many engineering courses. During his research, he collaborated with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) to investigate and evaluate the performance of shear walls affected by Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR) under seismic loading using material and structural testing methods as well as computer modelling. Farhad is also a technical reviewer of papers offered for publication in the American Concrete Institute (ACI) journals. Further, he is a member of the Engineers Without Borders, Golden Key International Honour Society, and Ontario Society of Professional Engineers.
